Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the grappling element of the system.
Training focuses on takedowns, positional control, and submissions. It is technical, strategic, and unforgiving of poor decisions.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is often nicknamed “physical chess.”
Dorchester AGOGE is affiliated to the Rising Tide BJJ Association and regularly hosts head instructor Ian Rossiter for seminars and gradings.
How Training is Structured
Training sessions are categorised as conditioning, skill development or strength training.
The balance between these is managed through the AGOGE Development System to ensure consistent progress over time, without unnecessary fatigue or injury.
Entry into Training
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training in Dorchester for clients committed to long-term progress.
New clients do not enter group classes immediately.
All training begins with the AGOGE Foundations Programme to ensure you are prepared to train safely and effectively within the system.
